I created a sci-fi, spaceship-esque control panel for my PC to sit below my monitors. Previously, I had shown sensor readings on one of my regular monitors. I wanted to be able to use that valuable monitor space and still access the important information. I bought a 7" touch screen usually meant for Raspberry Pi computers and made this skin suite to fit it. The suite contains resources and elements from many other authors' skins compiled with some of my own. "Frontpage" features include a digital clock, weather information, and all of the most useful sensor readings. There are other features under menus easily accessible with the touchscreen. For example: RSS news headlines, detailed weather information, app quick launch menu, audio source switcher, and a menu of shortcuts.
